George Boedecker Jr.
Founder and former CEO of Crocs Shoes, Boulder, CO
George B. Boedecker, Jr. is the principal founder and creative force behind Crocs, Inc., where he served as a member of their board of directors from June, 2002, and their Chief Executive Officer from July, 2002 through December, 2004. From 2002 to 2006, Crocs, Inc. grew from an eight employee company into a multi billion dollar industry. The exponential growth of the Croc’s brand and the pervasive existence of Croc’s products are directly attributable to Mr. Boedecker’s efforts.
From 1996 to February 2002, Mr. Boedecker served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of International Sales and Operations for the Quiznos Corporation in Canada. Mr. Boedecker also served as Vice President of Development and Director of Operations for Quiznos in the western region of the U.S. While at Quiznos, the number of franchises increased from 45 to 1,700 while another 1,100 were sold and awaited construction. He is also a founder and managing member of Oregon Food Concepts LLC, a franchise sales and support company that owns and manages Quiznos franchise locations in Oregon and Washington.
Mr. Boedecker is internationally lauded as a franchising and marketing expert and has now taken on the Directorship of the Anthony H. Kruse Foundation. The Anthony H. Kruse Foundation is dedicated to inspiring people to make a difference in the lives of others, to be a global thought and action leader empowering people to improve their lives through education, entrepreneurship, health, and wellness solutions. Some things the Foundation has taken under their wing: the Havasu Foundation for Higher Education; the University of Colorado; the establishment of two orphanages in Ndola, Zambia through the Q fund; the creation of a sports center complex in LaPaz; endowments to the Bold Youth Program and the Family Learning Center; the creation of a New Creations Orphanage and school in LaPaz, Mexico.
