Dr. Jeffrey Spencer, D.C.

Athletic performance and recovery specialist

Dr. Spencer has been in clinical practice since 1988. His private practice is limited to professional athletics providing strategies for acute injury management, neuromuscular rehabilitation, recovery, pre-competition preparation, and career longevity. The International Chiropractic Association recently named Dr. Spencer Sports Chiropractor of the Year.

Dr. Spencer is a former champion cyclist who competed on the 1972 United States Olympic Team as a sprint cyclist. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with Master’s Degree in Sports Science. He later graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Cleveland Chiropractic College, where he received the Clinician of the Year award.

Dr. Spencer is a member of the U.S. Cycling Federation Elite Medical Staff and is a member of the post-graduate faculty at Southern California University of Health Sciences where he teaches classes in sports injuries. He has worked with well-known personalities in golf, cycling, motor sports, motorcycle racing, the NBA, MLB, and NFL. Dr. Spencer has been the chiropractor for the U.S. Postal/Discovery Channel cycling teams during the last 7 victories of the Tour de France.

Dr. Spencer conducts seminars around the country on sports injury and performance, including injury assessment, treatment, and optimal recovery. He is also a fitness training consultant to Mountain Bike Action magazine, and is frequently interviewed and published in sports and sports-medicine related magazines. He is the author of two books, Total Taping: A Professional Guide to Athletic Taping, and Total Training for Motocross.
