Using the Shopping Cart
In order to purchase Barefoot Connections™ product, you will need to create an account. This simple process requires entering your name, address, email, and phone number; then allows you to create a user ID and password for future shopping as well as access your account. (Credit card information is not taken until the time of purchase.)
When you add any item to the shopping cart, you automatically enter a shopping session. If your session is inactive for more than 1 day, items placed in your shopping cart may be deleted due to time-out. This time limit varies and has to do with cookies on your computer. To avoid deletion of items in your shopping cart due to time-out, simply refresh the page or click on any item/button during the 1 day, and your time-out time will be reset. To shop on www.earthfx.net or any other ecommerce website, you need to allow cookies.
Email Address/User ID
You must provide a valid, traceable email address. In the event that the email address is not valid, we reserve the right not to process your order. Please make sure that you do not ban incoming emails or you will not receive confirmation emails.
Billing Information
Barefoot Connections™ requires all billing information to match exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. Our payment processing system has an automatic Address Verification System (AVS) which verifies your payment information against the one on your credit card statement. Please do not use special characters, symbols or quotation marks.
Please note: your Credit Card Statement will show payment to Barefoot Sales Corporation.
Checkout - Payment Processing
We currently use Authorize.net as our payment processing system. Your credit card will be charged when you click Submit Order. You can login to your account at any time to view your order(s).
- Preauthorization: When you click the Continue button during Checkout, your credit card is preauthorized but not charged. This action will allow our Address Verification System (AVS) to verify your billing address without charging your credit card.*
- Submit Order: when you click Submit Order, your credit card will be charged and the items in your shopping cart will then be reserved for you. Your order is successfully paid.
*Please note that in case of a declined transaction due to a failed AVS match or if you click Continue, your card will be preauthorized (but not charged). The preauthorized amount reserved against the credit limit of the customer's card will remain for a predefined period of time until it is expired by the card-issuer. For most credit card issuing banks, this is 3-5 business days. After that, the "reserved/pending/held" funds will be released. No funds are actually taken from the credit card; the funds are held by the customers' own credit card issuer. If you are not serious about making a purchase, please do not click “Continue.”
Taxes
All California residents must pay 7.75% sales tax. Orders originating from and shipped outside of California will not be subjected to any taxes. If your billing address is outside California but you are having the order shipped to a California address, the sales tax will apply.
What is SSL?
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol was developed by Netscape Communications Corporation to provide a high level of security for Internet communications. SSL provides an encrypted communications session between your web browser and a Web server. When sensitive information is being sent over the Internet between your browser and a web server SSL verifies that the information has not been altered in any way on-route. All major browsers released in recent years support SSL. You will see a lock icon appear on the lower right hand corner of your screen when you enter the secure area. During Checkout, once you have entered the SSL interface, please do not use the back button or refresh on your browser. This will result in technical errors.

If you have accidentally ordered a wrong product or wish to cancel your order, please Email us within 1/2 hour of ordering.
